I do agree that people are different, not so much because of race. Rather environment and religion. I'm white and the last thing I will do is try to convert you to anything, actually I will probably argue with you if you decide to become a christian. I live in a town where it is mostly white people and I am still woken up at 3am by the music coming from someone car stereo, you can't tell me that it is the only black person in my town. I don't TRY to be polite my environment taught me that it was inappropriate to do anyting but. I will look you in the eye when I speak to you, I will say please and thank you to anyone, even for the smallest kindness. But there are many white people who play loud music, talk a certain way, walk a certain way...It all comes down to environment.

Asia has no blacks? Since when? I've been to Asia several times, and there were "brown skinned" Asians! I believe since World War II, Asia has had a mixed race. I know they don't like that it's mixed, but it is.
If you are passing around character assassinations like "dirty Indians" and "Chinese Pig," in your country and not having to worry about a bloody nose, then I would suggest you taper that off in the United States. That Old Dog Won't Hunt!
If you are someone who is just trying to put in a left-handed, sideways slam on those of color, I would suggest you "nip it." I would much rather have the Hispanic community who are here ready to work, ready to be accommodating, and ready to be free, than a culture that would brandish about those kinds of slurs to another human being.
Good luck in America. I believe you will need it.

The way someone acts comes from the roots of their culture. As a black female and what I was taught about my ancestors and their culture I can see the reflection of that in today's black society. In earlier centuries black culture was limited to music and rhthym. Earlier ancestors of whites were more formal and held with higher prestige and etiquette. Today blacks are more open to music, freedom of expressions holding nothing back because it was so limited to us before while some whites are still well preserved and afraid to express themselves. Th edifferences are sometimes bad but I think it's better this way. That's why America is the country of freedom and without diversity, the country would not be this interesting.

Blacks and whites aren't always different. It has to do with culture.
Because I grew up with blacks and whites in the US, I share both cultures. I am closer to Africans (from Africa) culturally than to Europeans even though I'm white.
But, this was before rap and ghetto culture became popular. This has little to do with historical black or African culture.
Those people, white or black who drive around with loud music are disrespectful and are part of what I call ghetto rap music culture. It is a culture of poverty and prisons which has become mainstream through TV. This culture has spread throughout the US and Europe, regardless of race.
Many and maybe most whites lack manners these days. Many blacks have better manners than whites. It is a question of where you live, and of family education and social class.
Current segregation and cultural differences in the US are primarily economic in nature. Blacks and women were given equal rights in the 1960 and 70s which is when the US economy started to decline.

You are right in some of the things you see... BUT, you can not say that Black people commit crimes and the act ghetto... A lot of White people also commit crimes, they are the one that commited the crime and kidnapped the Black people in Africa to bring in this country to be slaves...
I don't know where you are in this country, but try to move to the Washington, DC area so you can see that...
It doesn't matter what color your skin is, everyone is equal...
Most parts of this country is still very racist... Unfortunately, what you have seen in your community is just one of what I call
"stereotyped environment"....
White people are not better than Black people...
White people are not Holy and sin free, nor Black people...
My advice is, STOP looking at the color of people skin and accept the person for who they are....

Blacks and whites are different for the same reasons that you and whites/blacks are different. Just because we have lived together for a few hundred years does not change the fact that we are different. Take for example Asia. Although you live on the same continent as people from India and China you may have completely different customs, backgrounds, and traditions. The same holds true for Americans.

Welcome to america! Land of the free. Blah blah blah. I wish all the difference would end too. Im not racist at all, nor will I ever be. But I know what you mean. I see each person instead of the color of their skin. I wish all could see like that. In my town, its very much still segregated in areas. I wont even walk down the street in areas because I know of the violence towards whites. And then strangely just south of our town, there is extreme violence against blacks. Its very confusing. I just try and be nice to everyone and treat everyone the same. I have noticed that it seems in my town in particular, that there is ALOT of hate towards whites. Black men & women will accuse anyone of racism, and put that person down in many ways. It seems like this color war will never end. I see my nieces growing up so much better than I did. In their school, they have so much more of a mixture of people. When I was in school, it was all white.... nothing different. Then I moved to cali and was in culture shock, but I LOVED IT!!! I love learning different ways of people, its very interesting to me. I hope there will be less differences in the future too. I think its all on the new generations shoulders to stop all the hate.

To the girl who said you racist. Grow up, he's not being racist. He's noticing the messed up way our socetiy works. Everything he noticed is true The problem is that people try to much to find their identity in their race rather than by being Americans. People try to be "white and black" rather than Americans. Whites are too nervous about upsetting "the balance" which doesn't exist so they are wayyyy too politically correct to be Americans and just be content in that. Black people tend to develop their own culture, which appears to be quite rude to anyone who's not black, because they are being racist and not just trying to be Americans. If both sides would chill and be Americans instead trying to find identity in race, then all these differences would disappear.

It is a matter of culture and tradition.
The ancestors of blacks in the US and the ancestors of whites in the US came here under circumstances that were VERY different from each other. When the whites came to this country, they determined that people of different races were inferior to them and that they should live life separately.
Through that you have had several cultures and traditions develop within the same society.

You are racist...I'm black, and I'm very religious, I'm politically correct, I have great manners. I'm not loud and obnoxious. I hate loud music, but I do like music and rythym, I just hate loud music. I'm very civilized and calm, and very quiet. And many other black people are surely the same. To say that you've seen Blacks this way, you havent seen all black people....So you cannot judge anyone by their cover. You're not going to get far, if you have that attitude. Like the others said, its apart of each and everyone's culture. Spell it and sound it out with me - C - U - L - T - U - R - E. You should learn about other people's cultures, before you go judging someone.
