I think you mean that its still appearing in your address bar even after clearing the history.. if thats the case then its due to Autocomplete for Web Address being enabled on your computer.. if you turn it off no web addresses would appear on your address bar when you try to type.
1. On the Internet Explorer Tools menu, click Internet Options.
2. In the Internet Options box, click the Content tab, and click the AutoComplete button. The AutoComplete Settings box will appear.
3. To turn AutoComplete on, click the boxes next to the types of information you want AutoComplete to remember.
For example, you can click the "Web addresses" box if you want AutoComplete to find quick matches for the Web sites that you type into the Internet Explorer Address Bar.
4. When you click an empty box, a check mark will appear to let you know that you have chosen to have AutoComplete remember that type of information.
you would need to remove the check for it to not remember the information.
5. When you're done choosing your AutoComplete settings, click OK twice.
hope this helps.

Right click on your Internet explorer icon on your desktop and select properties. You will see an option to delete history. You can also delete temporary internet files and cookies from here. Deleting the temporary internet files will get rid of the listings in your address block on your browser.
