I constantly dream about tornadoes (at least once a week) and I was just wondering if they have any significance? I'm always with my entire family and we always go hide in the same closet in our basement. I always wake up right before the tornado hits out house. (With the exception of one time, the tornado hit but no one was hurt or killed)

Tornadoes = chaos, confusion, difficulties, obstacles in life
Hiding from same closet in basement = protection
If you don't live by kansas area or didn't experience seeing lots of tornadoes lately, that could mean your dream or your subconscious mind is trying to tell you something. You are probably insecure of something, maybe when there are difficulties and obstacles in life, you tend to either run away from problems and do not want to confront with it. You tend to reply on people on certain things. You probably only trust certain individuals (same closet in basement), perhaps Your boss, teacher, spous, etc. You do not want to risk other way. Your safety zone will always be the same place or same person(s).
The excpetion of one time could mean that you were trying to confront it and still you realized you are the center of the problems. Being not killed or not hurt in dream could mean that you subconsciously admit that problems can be resolved without any hassle or support. However, you do not dare to face it most of the times.

Every so often I have those kinds of dreams too and they're always the same dreams. I wouldn't worry, nothing has ever happened after my dreams. I think I have them because tornados are one of my biggest fears.

I don't know... but I have tornado dreams too!!! There is a huge dark one and it keeps destroying things and coming back and forth... I am trying to run towards it and to my family to warn them and make sure they're safe... but when I get there everything is destroyed and I wake up...

I dream about being Moses all the time, but I actually summon tornadoes to smite thine enemies...it is awfully exciting.
