Buy a DVD/VHS player and recorder and just record them onto a DVD. I dont know how much it would cost for someone else to do it but i know that DVD recorders arent that much anymore.

RE: What shops will convert VHS tapes into DVDs? Are there any shops (which includes purpose, Walmart, superb purchase, and so on.) the place you may take up a VHS tape and have them convert it to DVD?

I bought a device that has jacks to plug your VHS Player in and output jacks for your DVD recorder. I just used the one in my computer. Worked flawlessly and cost $25.00 at WallMart.
I inquired as to the price to convert and it was more than purchasing new DVD copies of the VHS tapes.

You can get a VHS/DVD Player/burner at Big Lots for 99.00 next week
If they are protected VHS though you will have to go another route
You can also check with your local Wal-Mart for thingslike home movies, etc. it will cost around 20.00 or so but they will put your VHS on DVD as well

It is cheaper to get a DVD burner for your PC which you can get one at Walmart by Sony for like $80, get an adaptor for your PC where you can hook up a VCR to and copy your movies that way. You do need some DVD burning software as well...which some can be downloaded for FREE.

If you have a Mac computer then you can take a VCR, and get a special converter so you can hook the VCR up to your computer with a firewire. Then put the movie on iMovie then Burn it to a blank DVD
