Because of our animal instincts and scarced resources in the world, there will not be peace if people go on to "have" something. Education is important but not the education given in the schools. We have to open our minds to a different kind of living. So first you have to make yourself a part of the peace. And if you do this, although wars go on in the world and people go on to die, you will be much happier than ever. Because sometime all people will do the same. At least I hope... esperenza

I think before we look outward to the world, we need to look inward. Until we have peace within our houses, and within ourselves, we're not going to be able to take on the world. There is a hell of a lot of hate (literally) out there. Chechnians v. Russians, Hezbollah v. Israel, US v Iraqi insurgents, and, well, North Korea v. the World. The price of peace is eternal vigilance. I think the samurais had it right in practicing peace and honor, while still being ready to put an end to encroaching evil.

Start by helping to reduce starvation in the third world countries, and diseases that are virtually unknown in America. Even a dollar will help. Pick a truly dedicated charity that is known to work effectively where help is most needed, and at the least administrative cost, so every cent goes to those who need it. Consider "The Smile Train", which helps children born with cleft lip or cleft palate. See information on Yahoo under this name.

Billie, peace begins one person at a time. Be peaceful in your own life, and then spread that peace to all those around you. They principle of "pay it forward" does work. It may not be overnight, but little by little it can be accomplished.

Spread the word!
We extinct ourselves fighting over dying land (earth have an expiration date! Like us!) We extinct our knowledge (god's golden apple) (science etc.) and ourselves in the worse way... at least dinosaurs does not have the advance knowledge as we do (so they have an excuse!).
If we were to raise as a single race... we would be armed with the power of God's knowledge... hence transcend immortality through the survival of mankind (we could even create a new earth!). But mankind have to exist and not wiped out part of the knowledge to do that! We go back to "Dark Age"... we lose precious time and knowledge!

the only way is just to delete all those polititions, all of them!,and the weapons also, install some good and nice ppl and then restart the system!!(maybe u can work on a song?) but really,u know ithink the peace needs all of us to attempt for it,to stop that terrible war in palestine and lebanon ,we should try to be less selfish and to teach ourselves thinking about other ppl,we should try to become nicer ppl,the peace itself comes to nice ppl who really love it! believe me!
peace upon u!

is true, world peace will never be possible without a huge cleanout of ppl in charge, we need fresh blood in the top seats and till that happens it wont be easy...and wont happen overnight... we r lucky here in australia, i feel sorry for americans having to put up with bush's views, im going to be living with my american b/f so it affects me too, terrorism scares me to the point of not being sure bout moving to america, but is what they want isnt it...if we r scared then they win....so we have to make them see we dont fear them, and as for war, its senseless and avoidable, we just need the right ppl to make the world see how " pointless and pathetic" fighting with eachother is...1 by 1 ppl will see, just takes time and maybe it will take another massive "make love not war" rally... would be so cool...lmao

a world war which will again kill millions, but this time america needs a turn at being bombed and occupied. Then it may be less inclined to be so bloody controlling. Oh, and lose our dependancy on oil. I'm off to the garden centre to buy some seeds........
