can you see through a white linen skirt at a night club?

i am goin clubbin 2nite and dont know if i should wear some shorts underneath pref not as it isnt that comfy but its a knee length white linen and viscose skirt and im worried it will go see through when it hits the lights in the club anyone worn something similar. any ideas if i'll b ok wearing a thong or not? help

its a knee length flowy skirt im not dressing like a slapper its a pretty skirt i dont want anyone to see anything too bad or look stupid so what do you reccomend

Wear a skin toned thong, in case of 'black lights', that way the worse anyone will see is the shape of your legs, which they'll be able to see anyway even if you have shorts on.

In a night club the only thing you can usually see is anything which reflects more UV light than the layer on top. So if you wear white shorts or a white thong there's a chance they'll show through, no matter what colour your skirt is. Like the other person said, fleshtone underwear should be fine.

Should be OK - it is wearing white undies under black clothes that is a problem in a club as they glow through if the club uses UV / black light. A white skirt will probably just look really bright, but not see-through. Go with the flesh coloured thong though, as a white one might even show up under a white skirt, and then you should be fine.

Absolutely. Under those flourescent lights your undies could be lighting up. This happened to a friend. Unless you're an exhibitionist don't recommend thong - try something square cut, but comfy for dancing, so it looks solid or like shorts.

Also AVOID multi-colored foundation garments under white in club scene. Lights up like X-mas tree through the white.

Some of this will depend on the weight of the linen.

Consider wearing a slip.

Yes. Anything light colored will show through. Now, once you've had a few drinks it might be kind of cool & considered sexy to have a skimpy bra and a thong on that shows through your dress. If you want to avoid that totally you'll need to wear, or at least bring along to put on later, a black bra & underwear. Thong all the way, baby...you don't want to be picking at your b*tt all night. :)

More than likely at times, it will be see through depending upon the lighting. Better to be safe than sorry - go with a pair of white shorts underneath -- creates a nice effect and you don't have to worry!

it depends....linen tends to be pretty sheer but only when the light hits it...in the darkness of a club, you should be ok. but when the light hits, i guarantee people will be seeing some leg (or at least the outlines of your legs....its not transparent, just sheer). anyway, if you want to wear a thong, wear one thats the closest to the color of your skin. you wont see the thong and you wont see anything else! believe me, that works!

wear a thong close to your own skin tone. this will be the least visible option. the linen skirt will be see-thru to some degree, but just try to make your underwear less visible so you'll look great.

Go and buy yourself some nude coloured underpants. I wear a white dress to work and you can see white under it but you cant see the nude pants. La Senza sell them and I'm sure M&S do to.
