I am trying to excersize and lose some weight but I have no energy. I have been sleeping so late and dragging my butt around and I need to do something about it. Any healthy ideas.

Make sure you are eating enough and drinking enough water. If you are getting plenty of exercise, this is a very good way to get healthy. But you can NOT combine this with any kind of fad diet or diet pills, as it will put a serious drain on your body.

As long as you are getting plenty of exercise, just eat whatever you feel like all the time. As you get in shape, your body will tell you what you need - you'll crave fresh things, like fruits and vegetables, protein, carbs, even sugars. Whatever you crave, eat it, because that is your body telling you what it needs. Carbs are very important because that is your body's main source of energy.

If you don't give your body what it needs, you will start to wear yourself down and you will feel more and more sluggish.

If your body isn't giving you good enough signals, just try to eat a healthy balance of all the food groups. You need all of them, and they work together to keep you healthy. Top it off with plenty of water and you should be fine.

If you are eating enough, and healthy, and drinking plenty of water, but you still feel sluggish all the time, the problem could be something else. You could have mono or some other ailment that is draining you. Try talking to your doctor and s/he can tell you if there is something else wrong here.

Good luck!

First of all you need to set an objective for yourself.
What are the results you want?

There are three considerations (FIT) for any fitness/exercise regimen:
(1) F = Frequency - you need to set aside a time, each day to commit to the objective. Once or twice a day is fine. You are not going for the Olympics.
(2) I = Intensity - the exercise should be sufficiently challenging, gradually, to meet the objective. This includes raising the heart rate, etc. Most exercises are fine - such as brisk walking, running or playing a sport like tennis.
(3) T = time - there is a minimum amount of time needed before results are apparent, at least 20 minutes to have any obvious changes, over a few months.

But before you start on any fitness routine, get a medical checkout on your physical status first. You need to know what your situation is before, and then after.

Remember, if you do not set a target date for the objective, you have failed before starting.

You will find that the first week is challenging - waking up army-like, and going through the stretching before the exercises.
Once you pass the first month - you are sailing.
Give it your best shot, and you will like yourself in six months.
Don't stop.

Go to bed at a reasonable hour and wake up bright and early. Don't hit the snooze button and don't lay there feeling sleepy. Get your bottom in the shower and just start making your day happen.

Healthy food is essential and a positive outlook on your day's tasks/opportunities will make what ever lies beyond waking up easier to manage.

Overall.....you must push yourself despite the pain and inconvenience of exercizing. It does often suck at first, but I promise you that if you keep it up you will see wonderful benefits.

Please ignore anone who suggests energy supplements of any kind. Natural or otherwise, energy sups only work temporarily and usually leave you drained when they wear off.

Good luck.

If you take a complete multi-vitamin along with vitamin B with lots of drinking water it will help. You can even get vitamin enhanced drinking water; Ginseng, Gatorade and PowerAde to drink to replenish your body with needed energy or nourishment and they are very helpful for energy. Look also to what you are putting into your body to burn off. Eat Chicken, Fish and lots of vegetables. Eating Red meat takes at lease 3 days to burn off! Another thing to look at is how are you preparing your food, frying is a no-no. One more thing that can be over looked is the way that you breathe. Taking deep breaths in with your nose and out with your mouth can enhance your energy level besides keeping you alive. There are many helpful answers given to you here, Good Luck!

If you haven't been taking a complete multi-vitamin it is time to start. You can get ones with ginseng in them and the B vitamins are very helpful for energy. I notice if I miss a few days of my vitamins I'm dragging! Also be sure you are drinking enough water.

Look at the foods that you are eating. Dont eat tons of "diet" food. Most diet foods dont have all the vitamins and stuff that you need. Eat lots of fruits and veggies. I just started watching what I eat, and instead of diet food I am eating whole foods and juices instead. I have noticed a big increase in energy. For a quick pick-me-up try a sugar-free Redbull.

A.C.T. is the most incredible energy, feel good drink I've had. You mix (1) pouch with 10-12 oz. of water (Iced Tea is good too), and within minutes you feel good and energetic. The results last me 5-6 hours.
