I had a similar problem when I was younger with a girl who was in our group of friends. We all got together and called a doctor who let us know what some of the signs of an eating disorder are. Then we observed her carefully and when we thought we were sure we planned an intervention and ambushed her.... turns out she just didn't like to eat in front of people.
In short, you should talk to you, tell her you are concerned and be gentle about it. If she fights with you and gets defensive chances are she is afraid you found out her secret and it is time to tell her parents your concerns.
Good luck.

This is a difficult situation. I had the same problem. My step sister told me she had an eating disorder (but told me not to tell anyone). I told her that if she didn't get help for her disorder, I would be forced to tell her mom. Her health is more important than anything. If I were you, I would ask the girl about it. If she admits it, request that she get some help. If she doesn't, go to her parents. Keep in mind that, if this is left untreated, it could be a life and death stituation. Now, if she denies it, keep a closer eye on her. If she continues to have the same "symptoms," talk to your school counselor. They should then take the appropriate action.
Best of luck! I know this is a very difficult situation for you. I really hope it works out.

she may have an eating disorder, OR she may have issues at home. if she isn't bringing a lunch, but asking you guys for some food, maybe she isn't bringing lunch b/c of a home issue.
i would talk to a guidance counselor about this. maybe the guidance counselor and you and your friends could sit down and talk about things.
i had a friend in middle school who was anorexic and a group of us always ate lunch with the guidance counselor and talked about various stuff. it was a nicer environment for my friend than a busy lunchroom of people stuffing their faces.
i hope she is o.k. and take care.

My best friend was the eact same way! she used to eat a lot and shes always been a skinny girl and we noticed it more and more! but telling her that she has a problem and saying she needs help is only going to make the problem worse! the only way to get through to her is to tell her that like she is hurting u and your friends by doing this to herself and its not only hurting her but u guys!!! me and my friends did that and we spend the whole night talking and crying to eachother and she is fine now!!! trust me this really did happen and it works!!

it sounds like to me she doesnt get enough food at home..if she has always been smaller and actually asks for food then maybe thats why. talk to her and see if you can help her .only yu talk to her dont let anyone else know. if she eats ice cream then she might not have an eating disorder.

Ask her about it. Say something along the lines of "Are you eating correctly?" Eating disorders can be very serious if you dont help her. You need to make her awair that you are worryed about her.

talk to your parents... they may talk to her parents
bottom line- the kid won't starve herself, but it would be nice for her to eat a normal amount.
