Children's TV programme from the 70s. It was on about the same time as Ludwig and Wil 'o' the Wisp.

Yes. Thanks for reminding me. They were pretty much blobs, weren't they, with names like barbapapa and barbamama.

I've found the official web site for you.

I'd forgotten about Ludwig. But I could also add The Wombles, Morph, Roobarb, The Clangers and Ivor the Engine. And the ultimate in kids afternoon TV entertainment - Bagpuss and Mr. Benn.

It's a sad sign of ageing gracelessly that I bought the DVD featuring all the episodes ever made of "Will O' the Wisp" for my son, and I've watched it more than he has. RIP Kenneth Williams.

For MissBehave: - It was Chas.

Wasn't Barbapapa some weird big pink creature sort of shaped like a blob? I didn't know there was a TV show but I had a Barbapapa book.

Yes, and it had BabaMama, BabaBelle etc. Funny little bobby shaped things that lived in houses which were the same shape as them. Nice, as I remember.
