When it comes to children we as parents have to do whats right for them. Can you financially afford to pick up and move if your already struggling? Or is there someone else that is willing to move you and your toddler out of state? Do you have any help in this other state like someone to watch your toddler when you go to work or school? These are things that mothers must think about before we make a drastic move. I can understand wanting to get away from a person who isn't helping you financially or physically but, again your first thoughts should be of your child and whats best for him/her. If you can honestly say you can move then by all means move and I pray that you and your toddler have a wonderful new life.

If you're the custodial parent and your best financial option to support your child is to move, then move.

However - check your divorce decree first. My ex included (and the court granted) a clause in mine where I was not allowed to move the children out of state. Make sure the legalities are in order!

Better your life and move away. Never depend on the ex to do it for you.

Either have your ex put up more cash or move to where you and ypur son are better off. You ex is an adult and can make his way to visit where ever you are.
