Since real-life Peggy had a miscarriage she refused to continue the pregnancy on tv. So they wrote the whole thing up as a dream which would mean that Marcy wasn't pregnant neither. I really hate it when a whole season becomes just a dream.

Peg and Marcy were pregnant. Katey Sagal, (Peg) had a miscarriage very late in her pregnancy, so they ended the story line as Al's bad dream.
