I have an appointment with my Ob and I have been on PNV but I am gaining weight already. I am trying not to eat junk food. I haven't increased my food intake, I have felt so sick it's hard for me to even eat.
I am 21 and and just worried about everything I guess.
Is gaining weight this soon a bad sign?

Don't get worried everyone is different try to eat crackers and either ginger ale or warm Pepsi it helps make sure if you are that sick you tell your doctor they have a lot of new safe meds for you to take don't make yourself suffer and about the weight gain yes you will start to gain this Early it is normal if you think about it your very close to 4mths and as the baby grows your weight will shift. I hope I helped a little to ease your mind.

good luck with everything

I am 39 weeks prego. Best advise go pick up a copy of "What to expect while your expecting." And join thier website, its very helpfull. www.whattoexpect.com. And just try to relax, I was the same way in the begining. I worried about EVERYTHING! I gained alot of weight in the 1st trimester also. Remember it doesnt matter what any book or doctor says, every woman and every pregnancy is different, nothing in pregnancy is normal or unnormal. But if you are concerned about anything alwasy talk to OB!!! Good luck !!!

calm down....

o.k. the worried feeling is TOTALLY normal. most women go through a whole gambit of emotions and feelings, so be prepared for excitement, anxiety, fear, happiness and total joy!
it's all normal!

as for the weight gain....everyone is different. so, just eat well and take your vitamins and you'll be fine. if you are concerned about weight gain, then discuss it with your dr. your OB is the only one who can tell if you are on the right track with weight gain.

as for the morning sickness. keep some crackers by your bed and eat a few before getting up. also, drink TONS of water, at least 64 oz a day, and drink ginger ale. ginger is a well-known alleviater of nausea.

take care and congrats!

RELAX!! Most of the initial weight gain is water retention and the thickening of the placenta around the baby. It's excellent that you are going to see your OB and that you are taking vitamins. Eat normally when you can stomach it, cutting out junk food is a great thing. Most of all, relax and enjoy this; once the baby comes, you'll life will be different forever.

Honey, I started gaining weight the second I conceived!!! Your OB will probably order an ultrasound. At or about seven or eight weeks, you will be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. This will ease your anxiety a great deal. Once the heartbeat is detected, the viability of the fetus is excellent, and it is very unlikely you will miscarry.

I wouldn't worry about it. Like you, I'm 3,5 months pg and I have gained weight already, women are different and it dpeneds on your body and how it is taking all this new changes in it. About the PNV they are good for your baby, and they won't make you put on more weight, vitamins don't make you fat, they are just to keep your baby healthy.

You will gain weight during your pregnancy whether it is now or later but you need it to sustain the baby. Anyhow after the birth you must immediately work out or it will stay there like mines. It's 11 months since I had my daughter and now I am just starting to work out and everything so I can loose this 30 lbs.

well, firstly,u need to stop thinking too much about all this!!

you need to understand that you are pregnant and not sick!!

thers nothing wrong in gaining weight, please do not diet while you are in this state, eat everything that you feel like, dont worry about weight, you'll shed all that once you deliver!!

visit your ob,discuss all the issues that you have and be happy,u r pregnant, you dont have any disease, dont be tensed b/c it'll effcet your baby...be happy and cheerfull, all will go well!!

Not a bad sign but be aware of what you eat and such. No need to really change your diet and all that.. start taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid.. other than that..Good luck :)
