Give them an eviction notice. LOL Try coffee grinds, or bay leafs if you are afraid of the sprays but they are your best choice.. Find where they are entering the house and pot ant traps there as well as spray.. Be sure to keep your kitchen clean and take the trash ou every night no matter how full the bag.. Use caulk to plug the holes the ants enter through, but spray first maybe even for a few days before you block the hole.. Good Luck

A fairly simple way without using chemicals is a mix of 50% water and 50% white vinegar.
Wipe any areas where you have seen the ants with this solution. Also try spraying this solution around doors and window frames, under appliances, and along other known ant trails.
Do a small test on any areas which are wood or fabric to ensure the solution will not damage it before starting.
This is a more natural way than using chemicals you are unsure of.

Ants come into the residing house for countless motives. you've a clean counter top yet whilst they are finding for a clean place to stay they are going to easily decrease around the counter and into the different facet of the development. There are those that decide for sugary products too. appropriate way I certainly have got here across is Raid in a field with a sequence off spray. I hate aerosols they circulate everywhere. Spray all your front techniques doorways and residing house windows interior and outdoors, alongside the baseboards of the residing house. If its quite undesirable pay the exterminator to seek for the nests its worth it.

You can use an insect repellant that is in chalk stick form which you can buty from a grocery or hardware store. Use this to draw lines below your cabinets, tables and chairs. Ants and cockroaches would not cross that line. But be sure that there are no small children playing nearby because they might eat the chalk dusts. If you could find the ant hole you could pour used motor oil ( if no used motor oil is available, you could use a new one) into the ant hole. It will kill the ants as well as the eggs inside.

You didnt specify where or what kind of ants so its hard to give you helpfull info on control.
Most any detergent based cleaner will kill them but might spread them to other areas due to the repellent nature of cleaners. If you have a professional exterminator that can come out soon i would advise to wipe them away with a damp paper towel or rag if you have to use the area. otherwise let the professional handle it. A proper ID will help the exterminator choose the best treatment.

Use a sweet gel bait. Look for the way they trail and put the gel in areas for the ant to find easy. This will take a while and you may see a lot more ants coming to eat. But this will eliminate the colony or colonies.

At Home-Depot, they have the ant "traps" they go in and eat the food that is provided. They bring it back to the queen and the whole colony dies. I have used them in the past and they were very effective. I have even used them outside. The one that was best had a clear container and an orange fluid inside. I don't remember the name tho. Good luck.

bleach water. You need to get the scent trail off. The ants will leave a scent trail so the other ants know where to go. Fin the place where they are cpoming from, spray...and then spray anywhere you see them walking. This worked for me.

Wipe the area down with bleach, bleach will destroy whatever scent that attracted them in the first place. Then my best suggestion is to buy some of the "home defense" spray for the home, you can use it inside and out....... spray it outside around windows and doors and then inside. Its good for all insects.
