Gym training is the best... It builds muscle.. To burn fat, try doing cardio... It can help to burn fats... Dun forget to take whey protein after workout as it can help to build lean muscle and increase metabolism to burn fats...

Training four times a week? You really think that's enough? I had 3 two-hour practices a week and a game most Saturdays when I was playing rugby and I worked out and ran besides. I ate whatever I wanted, drank lots of fluids (but very little alcohol--you're in training and beer is not your friend), and I was totally buff.

Strengthen the muscles around your injuries and stretch properly (*after* you're warmed up) so that your muscles will support your joints properly. Skip the supplements--you need work and a lot of it. What are you waiting for? Go!

Try http://www.bodybuilding.com it is without doubt the best bodybuilding site on the web. You will find the answers to just about every question you could have on the subject.
It is a must for anyone just starting or for the experienced trainer to add to their training routine.
From the main screen just click on the Super Site logo and then find training in the side menu.
Its a massive site with animated exercise routines, diets and great articles by top bodybuilders.
Another small point:- you cannot loose fat and gain muscle mass.
Exercise is just a catalyst for change, food puts on the mass, exercise triggers the bodies mechanism to convert it to muscles that help it to perform the exercise easier the next time.
Its a circle of change.
EAT-EXERCISE-GROW-EAT EXERCISE-GROW
Good luck

For the results you're looking for you will have to split your training sessions up differently.Research has shown that doing your anaerobic work before your cardio work is much more effective for body fat reduction. When you lift weights you burn primarily glycogen which is simply stored sugar energy.Once you deplete your glycogen stores it is more likely that you'll burn fat through gluconeogenisis. The thermogenic effects of anaerobic training have been shown to last up to 15 hrs as opposed to aerobic work which only lasts for about the period that you remain at your target heart range. You should definitely not diet too heavily until you've replaced some of your mass.Once you've done that you can cut some carbs to increase the likelyhood that you'll slim down.I'm out of room so check my best answers for more info and be careful not to further compound your injuries. If it hurts leave it alone or work very lightly.Eat plenty of protein.Joe

Two tips for you fat boy:
1) eat less,do more

2) improve your ball skills, if you keep kicking into touch you wont need to run as much and will probably be substituted therefore saving others the annoyance of having to walk in your huge shadow.

Reduce Carbs and increase Protien + slowly increase your weight or resistance settings if using machine training devices...

There are many over the counter products these days, whey protien for example and other more muscle specific formula's, they can be found in many sports shops health food shops and through web sites, I list only one below ....

plenty of rice, pasta, potatoes r ok, chicken, turkey, tuna etc. if u r training hard eat regular, if u dont your body will store to much because it wont know when its being fed next, if it gets regular feeding it will burn it off.
To get rid of the fat i'm afraid its only hard work will do, ie running, swimming and cycling.
