The Grateful Dead, Hands and Feet Dancing. They gave so much to their audience.. Never playing the same concert twice, always reworking songs, nonstop touring.. Ther is a very spiritual feeling to their music. I have broke down crying at many a concert.. Even after Jerrys death, Bob and Phil still carry on continuing the constant touring that amny Dead Heads have come to love.. They are very generous with their money and sponser the Rex foundation which is responsiable for many worty causes and very reputable.. Their roadies were paid well and treated as family or as part of the band.. They still have some of if not the best health coverage on the market.. There music is very beautiful and will eventually capture any who give it a chance.. Even at today concerts I still see young and old alike enjoying a few hours of utopia. In all my yeards of touring I have never witnessed a fight at one of their concerts and everyone smiles.. Free hug signs are always present. I will take credit for starting this fad. I could go on for hours about how the Greatful Dead has indluenced my life, but you only asked for my favorite Band.. After the Dead I would have to say, Neil Young, The Band, Tom Petty, Bob Dillon, Lou Reed, Van Morrison and the list goes on.. Music is my life.. I have been playing for as long as I can remember.. I am drenched in it, my body is dripping with music,. I can't imagine doing anythig else...
