Why do some disposable safety razors last only one time but others from the same package are sharp for 2 weeks?

The metal used in these razors is inferior. Some disposable razors use cheaper metal than others. Cheaper metal means that they can't hold an edge as long. The better the metal, the longer the edge holds. Next month or so, when they come out with the 18-blade razor, it'll hardly matter, because each razor will only contact something to cut every month or so...

They are all supposed to last just one time. That is so you will spend your money buying more.

Because they are cheap. You get what you get and they don't do a whole lot of quality checking on them.
