To start with, visit several large industries in your area and find out their packing requirements. Many a times these people will prefer to pack their materials at their own premises, so you can save in finding a place to operate. Most packing material manufacturers will supply materials on credit basis and accordingly you negotiate with the industry for payment terms, by which you can save huge money being invested.

Always keep in your mind that no business will give profit on the day one. There will be a breathing perior of minimum six months to 2 years to see profits. So your investments must match. Normally for a packing company (Out sourced unit - ancillary unit) like yours may require atleast Rs. 200,000.

Banks will ask for 6 months operation details before funding a project, since you need more of working capital than for machineries.

Visit your area Small Scale Industry promotion center and ask for more details.

In modern time, there are a variety of packing required/used for various products. A whole range of packing, both manual and mechanised, is used by various manufacturing units. Since you question is silent on this point, it would be just a guessing game to say anything.

Regarding bank funding, bank welcome a feasible project for financing. The merits of your project would decide the quantum of finance and the terms. Banks are flush with liquidity, hence, only the merits of the venture is the consideration.
