When I was raising my kids, the nurses and Dr.s told me that as newborns it was every 6 weeks, but then as you get to know them you'll notice as they eat more than usual, it's because they are growing. Now as they are teens and pre-teens they are just growing and eating all the time.

All the time. There is no "schedule" for them. Every baby is different, and as long as they are gaining steadily, you don't need to worry.
