A 14 wheel trailer can have anywhere between 4 -7 axles, depending on the number of wheels per axle.
If you are asking about a tractor trailer rig that is referred to as a 14 wheeler, and want to know how many axles the trailer has, there are two choices.
A 14 wheel tractor trailer can have a single rear axle tractor, and a dual rear axle trailer, or a dual rear axle tractor and a single rear axle trailer..
There are always two wheels on the front (steering) axle. Usually the rear axles are dual wheel axles, which means that there are two wheels per side, or four per axle.

More than likely, it has five axles. The front has two tires, the drive axle has four tires and the two axles on the back have eight.
