Why do men have nipples?

Question

Like the proverbial the "egg or the chicken" man came first or woman? Why is it that men have nipples then if they don't use them at all.. It's non-functional... I want to see where this goes.... I have my theory about the hormonal differences during gestational period.. and the mixing of chromosomes.. yada yada yada.. but then, I want to hear what's your theory is? The floor is now open for discussion.........

All zygotes (fertilized egg in the womb) start out with no gender. As the zygote develops into a fetus, it begins to eventually take on gender characteristics. In fact, all fetuses begin with a single genital fold that further develops... clitoris or penis, vulva or scrotum... they start out the same. So all unborn babies have nipples. If they are female then they develop into breasts with functioning mammary glands for lactating (breast feeding). In fact, a small percentage of men actually have functioning mammary glands and produce milk. But all mammals have mammary glands, and therefore have nipples, regardless of gender. (Although I'm sure many of us wouldn't mind if men had no nipples in exchange for women having no body hair... LOL...)

After the egg is fertilized it goes through the different stages for single cell to multiply celled and then up the evolutionary stages. until it starts to become human shaped. the first stage is female in form. then comes the hard question if there is a soul does it determine if the fetus develops into a male or female or is it just chance or odds as to whether or not it remains female or does the mother have anything to do with whether or not it turns male by creating an abundance of testosterone that turns it into a male?
Yes both females and males carry both hormones of the opposite sex. a slight change in levels can cause different things to happen to the body. testosterone falls to low and the male can develop working female breasts or a female can get to much testosterone and lose breast material and develop more hair. and so on.

There is a tribe in South America where the differentiation doesn't take place until the teen age kids either turn into males or not. They don't know what they are going to be until then. All the youngsters are females.

Because men are mammals too. Humans are mammals and the name mammal comes from the fact that all mammals have mammary glands. So if men didn't have nipples then they would be a different species. Also if men didn't have nipples there would have been no chance for them to be a woman in the womb.

I saw this documentary where the narrator said that the difference between male anatomy and female anatomy is minimal. Females need nipples and to remove nipples completely would require a huge difference in genetic makeup. He then concluded by saying "Males have nipples because females need to have nipples."

Man have enough differences with women to look different from each other so why not have some similarity so that they dont fell like they are allien to each other

Basically the nipples are there so girls can make a guy feel good. They have the same nerves in them just like a female's & if stroked, licked or sucked it provides great stimulation for them.

definite, my gf's husband exchange into rather obese and had to be positioned on Viagra to strengthen his testosterone because of the fact he began to produce milk. i assume a manner or the different his hormone stages tangled up by using surplus weight. It exchange into fairly discussing on the time because of the fact his shirts could be observed. Now if this is appropriate for somewhat one or whatnot I have no clue. I doubt that a wholesome guy could be waiting to produce milk however. and for people who did no longer pay interest in biology ~ adult men and females the two have testosterone and estrogen. this is merely adult men are assume to have lots extra testosterone then females and females extra estrogen then adult men. look at a GNC shop sometime.... interior the mens section they have "estrogen blockers" for physique builders :)

we all start out as girls then X & Y chromosomes decide if we will be boys or girls which determine if the nipples either develope into breast or remain nipples.

Evolution??? Perhaps it's an early stage of evolution, maybe in 50,000,000 years they will be giving birth and breast feeding...who knows, damn I wish I was gonna be around to see that, can you imagine a man going through labor?
