This issue goes back centuries.
The most recent activities Israel would be innocent, they are responding to terror attacks on their people and the kidnapping and holding hostage of three of their soldiers.
However, over the long run the Palestinians claim that they are a people living under occupation by the Jewish government. This is technically correct. they are under occupation. However, this same land was under Palestinian occupation for over 200 years. While the Jews lived in occupation though they did not receive nearly as good a treatment from Palestine. They were murdered, tortured, forbidden from practicing their religion openly and most had to flee the region. Israel simply wants the Palestinians to accept their existence and allow freedom of religion.

Wait a minute !!! Why did they do what they did ? Has it been that long since their soldiers were kidnapped and killed ? Has it been that long since they had suicide bombers walk their streets? The war was declared on Israel first. Their response is to win the war. If the terrorists were taken care of in the first place, like the UN instructed Lebanon to do, none of this would have happened. Why condemn a country that is just trying to survive?
This will never end until terrorist are eliminated. Until the world wakes up and realizes this , people like you cannot ever understand.

NO! They have every right to do what ever means possible to bring their soldiers back alive. Do you not watch the news or even pick up a history book and see what Hezbollah is all about?? They want to kill YOU TOO!!! Israel will be doing this Earth a great deed when they wipe the filthy swine from the face of the earth. Hezbollah "IS" the vast majority of the civilians in Southern Lebanon.

Judge Arbour of the World Court said just the other day that there appear to be activities on both sides that are criminal and may be investigated to see where charges should be laid. Who knows there may be such charges in the future and of course trials.
Sanctions against Israel in the short term would be a long shot since the US would veto any action by the UN as is their privilege.

Iran, Syria and Lebanon should be held responsible for instigating violence against Israel - they are already condemned to hell for their thinking and actions - it's now a matter of time before they face the wrath of civilized nations including the Muslim ones.

No! Lebanon should be sanctioned for not removing Hezbollah from there borders as they promised they would to the UN when Israel pulled out. Iran and Syria should also pay for arming them and encouraging them. If Iran and Syria want to annihilate Israel from the face of the earth (as they say) tell them to balls up and fight them themselves. Cowards with big mouths they want others to fight while they talk big!
