I thought this was going somewhere completely different!(Affairs)
I would rather neither, but if i had to choose then i would go with only thinking it - as in order to actually do it, they would have also had to have thought it first?
Oh, and go to bed!!

How is thinking about a bad deed and performing a bad deed just equal?? People say actions speak louder than words, and I am inclined to believe them. I also think words speak louder than thoughts. If you think you want second helpings of dessert but don't ask for it, you won't get it. Likewise, if you ask and get permission but don't take it, you still won't get it.
Ok, maybe that was a poor analogy, but explain how thinking about sticking a sword into someone's stomach is as bad as actually doing it? If I just think about it, I haven't harmed anyone. If I actually do it, I may have comitted murder (at the least, aggravated assault), not to mention the excruciating pain of an abdominal injury which I would have been responsible for inflicting on another human being. Of COURSE hurting someone is worse than thinking about it.
I see that you were reasoning this out on your own, instead of having people think for you, and that is good. Never stop thinking for yourself.

This seems more like a philosophy question, but everybody has bad thoughts you cant totally control your thoughts nor should you, its the whole yin-yang thing, but you can control your actions, so yes I would rather a person thought it then do it especially in the case of me getting hurt, lol.

let me correct you. Not people that is saying the thought is as bad as the deed, it is God that says that in the Bible.
You cannot have have bad, sexual etc thoughts in your mind towards somebody, that makes you guilty even if you just think it.
I you desire somebodys husband, you allready did the deed.

Of course. the fact is that the saying is attributed as to what God thinks. In that sin is sin and any sin is too much sin because the wages of sin is death. It was never meant that the party you were planing on doing harm to would consider it equal. it maynot even be equal to God but any sin equals death. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus for those who accept him.

Yes, I certainly would not want anyone to harm me. If they think it, shame on them, and hopefully they can get over it.
