I was there...it happened almost right in front of me...it was like losing a member of your own family....the reaction of everyone when we found out was intense...I will never forget that day or those feelings as long as I live.....

Yes, he was a great driver. NASCAR really hasn't been the same without him. If he was still around I'm sure some of this aggressive driving would be avoided. People listened to him when he talked and took him seriously. I get mad when they try to compare Tony Stewart to him. Can you imagine Dale Sr. flippin' someone off just because they didn't give him enough room on the track?

I miss Dale Sr.
I was watching the race . It' a feeling that's hard to describe.
Witnessing somethng like that is always a sad experience but..it's really worse when you care about the person.
The Intimidater is my ALL TIME FAVORITE driver.
In my opinion........HE WAS THE BEST !

I miss him on a daily basis. But I do believe that the safety has become so much better since his death. I do not believe we would be at this level of safety if he had not died.

Sure, I think that any NASCAR fan misses him to come capacity. But, it has been five years since his death. Isn't it time to look forward and enjoy the drivers that are here?
