Did you take the extended warranty? I never will buy a sears product other then their Craftsman Tools for my husband again! I have had things from sears, such a microwaves, vacuum cleaners, fans, A/C units, and kenmore SUCKS! They all quit working on me.. If it is no longer defrosting, than defrost it manually, shut it off, and boil hot water on the stove in big pans, and sit it inside the freezer, and keep the freezer door shut, you should be able to get most of the ice off within 1/2 hr or so.. Good luck! Don't buy anymore Kenmore Products.

Kenmore sucks. Never purchase that brand again. I purchase a new wall oven $1400.00 and a new dishwasher $600.00 Kenmore, at 14 months old both went kaput! Could not be repaired.
