Sounds like she may have low self esteem. Most people who are self centered and narcissistic really don't like themselves very much. I suggest that you limit your contact with her while still maintaining your friendship. I am sure she is going to you need you one day. Don't ever let other people make you feel bad about yourself! You are a smart, beautiful girl. Give yourself some credit. You deserve it. She is lucky to have friend like you.
BIG hug for you!

It sounds as though you have likely matured over time, while your friend has some issues she may not have fully dealt with yet? The only reason I say this is because I've witnessed it before in others as well as myself some time ago. A true friend wouldn't forget about you when she finds a new man, rather she would allow herself the time on a regular basis to nurture the friendship you and she share, so that it can continue to survive. While it certainly wouldn't be the same amount of time, since a new relationship does take effort and time to grow it as well, she still needs to be her own person. What would happen if she got married... Would she ever be herself in that marriage? If you lose what has evolved you into the person you are today, you can lose your own identity. And unfortunately, by the time she realizes what she has done to all her friends, and makes the attempt to go back to them in her own time of need, she may find that the friends have become different, moved on themselves, and now don't have the time for her anymore. Sit down and talk with her. I wonder if she knows what she's doing? Good luck to you both!

I've had this same problem myself. Sometimes in your life you have to let go of people you love. You need to tell her how you feel about the way she acts, and how it hurts you. Only a true friend can tell them, everyone else just won't care, and never say anything. What are friends for, they are all there for each other, they are the ones you call 'sister.' Real friends will say something, so pick who you are and you will know what to do.
Is she your sister or just another girl you know?

Then don't hang around her. If she is your friend, after a week of not seeing you, she will call to find out what is wrong. Then you can explain what you just said to her and see what happens. Some people just crave the attention, because they didn't get it while they were growing up. It makes them feel good inside. Even though it hurts everyone around them.

well my best friend was kinda like that too then one day she was with m y husband where she is still today . they left me with 3 kids and no regard for my feeling . so I would be very careful if I were you. i knew this girl since i was 15 she was the godmother to my first born. my husband and i Had 2 children of our own we were married . and she had no problem burning me. so i guess a little heart to heart would be a good idea. tell her how you feel and if things don't change start looking for a better friend
good luck

Don't be fooled, she knows exactly what she's doing. Your friend is selfish and likes to be the center of attention. With a friend like that, who needs an enemy?

she's your best friend, you can talk to her... you should do it. conversation is the best way to eliminate misunderstandings. you should tell her what piss you off and that you still wanna her to be your friend, if you want it of course.... tell her that she shouldn't leave you for ordinary guys, who are nothing to her... only mates and you're her best friend! good luck
