I am extremely proud to be an American. It is unfortunate that many Americans sit around complaining about America while they are in an house with air condition having a good meal, and don't realize that America is one of the few places that they would have the luxury of doing this. American is a great place, but unfortunately Americans have learned to take if for granted.

No I'm not proud to be an American but leaving it is a copout. Staying and changing it shows character.

No offence, I am not American, I respect the level of patriotism Americans show.
I am proud to be Canadian, where he have healthcare, and the old and poor are taken care of just like everyone else, and we are a Country that does not rush into war, or assassinate our leaders.
i am glad that you are proud of your Country.
As a Canadian, I am thankful to have the Americans as our friends and neighbours.

I'm not proud. Rather, embarrassed. It is pride that makes our very nation hated by practically everyone else.
