The Berenstain Bears series of books. The books included the lively antics of a Bear family--doting Mother, kind and caring Father--brother and sister bears.

The books were colorful and eye-catching and the text was limited to 1 or 2 lines per page. Both of my children could cite the text long before they could actually read it. The story line always had a happy ending. What could be better?

I loved reading "A Porcupine Named Fluffy" to my kids when they were little.
When I was little ... "One fish, Two fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish" and "Green Eggs and Ham" I loved all the Dr. Seuss books... "The Cat in The Hat" was also a fav...
It is so hard to pick from those.....
Oh I remember reading these Casper books too. Am I showing my age here??

nusery rhymes were my favorite. I would read them over and over and over. And I used to like silly stories too. For example a blue frog or something.
And I still like them. Those are the only 2 things that can keep my interest for long enough.
