A chapter 13 is different from a chapter 7 but I would imagine you need to contact the trustee and get his permission. The judge would probably have to okay it as well. If you are using the funds to buy a more expensive house, I doubt they will let you. If you are scaling back and using the funds to complete your plan then that would probably not be a problem and even encouraged.

Ask the trustee's office before taking any action or you will end up getting your bankruptcy dismissed with prejudice. (can't file again)
