We have a history. It is not our fault that our history is short. We have only been a nation for a few hundred years and our continent was settled later than most (not just by Europeans).
However, our modern history is older than most countries. Post communist Russia has all the artifacts from the Soviet Union, the time of the Czars and before. The entire Soviet era did not last as long as US history. By the same logic, our history exceeds the current forms of the PRC, Iran, Cuba, Mexico, Germany, Japan, Latin America, France, Vietnam, North & South Korea, South Africa, Israel, and many others.
So our history may be short but we have maintained a consistency of government in the modern world that few have been able to duplicate.

I guess from the answers you have guessed that we Americans do have a sense of history. One of the reason most of us have a sense of history is that we are all from somewhere else. My country's history is important to me, along with my family's history.
Most of us trace our history in two ways, national and heritage. This makes our history endless for some. I am an Irish American. My personal history blends like a piece of twine into a much larger and stronger rope of culture. Since our whole culture in the USA is a wonderful blend of people from different lands. In America there more celebrations of so many different cultures, histories, and peoples then any other country. Most countries only get to enjoy their little slice of culture and history, we get to enjoy the world.
So I can say that America really has a very broad history that it shares with people all over the world. Diversified, deep and richer then you would imagine.
Regards,
Tom

It's great. We have over 200 years at a country. Native Indians were here before that. Who cares if there are 200 years or 1000 years history? I certainly don't.
As I said, it's great. That's why people flock to our shores, and risk their own lives in the process.

You sound like a dipshit. Our country is full of history, as you would find out if you ever read a book, or at least practiced proper grammar. Have a nice day, dipshit.

what a ridiculous question. for one, we do have history, we have been along more than a day, duh. second, we may not have hundreds and hundreds of years of history, but so what? the native americans were here, they are our history. and our ancestors have history, like mine from sweden and stuff. their history is part of ours. we dont walk around going Boohoo, our country isnt as old as others.
