Probably because the geeks who created the software for the avatars were about 20 something. I wonder if Yahoo failed to anticipate the interest of so many older people in Yahoo Answers.

Actually, yours looks like you are about 13.

My avatar is different from the way I look in every possible way.

If you do want your avatar to look like you, then create a Yahoo 360 space, upload a pic of yourself, and use that pic as your avatar.

Mine looks like I did 30 years ago! I suspect the site was originally aimed at the 20 somethings.

because people would rather look at 20 something women than 30 something women. Haven't you noticed that none of them are fat either? The avitars are all hot.

I think I managed to get mine to look older a little bit by using the white hair, what do you think? Maybe they should give us a choice with a saggy neck?

Maybe they need to add a baby boomer category for those of us that need something more than teenage conversations loaded with bad spelling ...
