The largest group in the United States is people of European descent. This group is now less then 50% of the people. So while they are the largest ethnic group they are not the majority.

Saying there are more people of European descent then any other ethic group would be correct.

Also saying the majority of Americans are not of European descent would be correct.
Since if you add up all the other groups you have more people then in the group of people from European ancestors.

The answer must be YES. Other groups of immigrant-descended Americans are still minorities even today and so are the Native Americans.

Sure. If you're white, you have to be of European origin, as far as I can tell. Even many people who appear to be of non-European origin may have someone who was originally of European stock in their background. And many Hispanics descend from the original Spanish conquerors, at least in part.
