Do you really want to know?

The worlds impression is that there are lions n our back yard, that's if you lucky to have a back yard.
That where ever you go you see poverty
That because the country is in Africa there is only sand and grass.
That woman wear nothing but a cloth to cover their privates

Well this is not true.........................
South Africa may be a third world country but their is nothing that we don't have that a first world country has.
We have big loving cities with stunning beaches.
We have the most friendliest people in the world.
We are one of the most fortunate country that is lucky to have survived apartheid which enable us to live as a unity no matter you colour, religion, wealth etc.
To be honest it's an amazing place even with the crime that even one day we'll be able to resolve as Africans.

South Africa is a wonderful country!! South Africa boasts a unique cultural mix, a history marked by heroism and struggle and an impressive array of heritage sites, not least the Cradle of Humankind, from whence it is believed that our earliest ancestors sprang. The economy of South Africa is the largest and best developed on the continent, with modern infrastructure common throughout the country.

South Africa is often referred to as The Rainbow Nation - a term coined by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and later elaborated upon by then-President Nelson Mandela as a metaphor to describe the country's newly-developing multicultural diversity in the wake of segregationist apartheid ideology.

South Africa is a wonderful place! The country is beautiful, the people are great and friendly and there are the most amazining animals in SA!

sadly Agliotti must live in a different South Africa, cause I can personly tell you, I have been in 3 armed robberies. 1 was in my house, they threatened to rape my mom and kill my dad, they kept calling us white rubbish and that they will kill all they F*cKing whites one day... This is a daily event... Blacks and Whites are being murdered daily.. they released a figure of R800'000'000.00 aprox stolen this yr alone through black bussiness deals with the ANC goverment.

Your Check List.
> don't dress like a tourist and trust no one who offers a lift or with directions( many inocent people are mugged this way)
>Don't go into Township or black area's with out a guide or personal protection, expetially after dark.
>have medical insurance because state hospitals are now rated equal to that of war tourn countries.
> Use private medical services (netcare, discovery ect...)
>bring a bulletproof vest as many shooting acure.
>Don't go to shops near closing time as this is the best time for armed robberies.
>if driving, keep a distance from car infront as you could have to get out incase of -Smash and Grab - Car Jacking _ Kidnapping (VIP)

So other than that, you should be ok... O'yes bring a good book, passport control at INT airports take about 1hr-2hrs to get through, because staff are never there....

Anyhow, have a great trip....

A country and people with a huge potential but very sadly going down the tubes because of crime, HIV/AIDS and an incompetent Government. Presently it has all the potential to become the next Zimbabwe and Bono and Geldof are already assessing it's potential for their next campaigns.

I have never been to SA but Cape Town is one of the highest places on my list to visit. I hear it's gorgeous there with the mountains, beaches, Cape Dutch architecture, and especially the wine country nearby. I would love to go.
