not so, my family found crud oil on our family farm, its an air property, anyway no ones rich in my family, I think for the amount of oil tapped on my family farm, was around the price range of at most 5 tousand dollars in all, which in reality is not that much, I think the family sold the , I forget the lingo but, "liquid acres" of oil to the citco brand name, and they got most of the assest, and we took the lower precentage, but then again this was back in the 70's, but then again they had a oil shortage back then as well so we could have been alot more wealthy, if we werent black
I will like to add back then my family owned 170 acres of land, now its down to 100 or so

No I haven’t dug for it, no it would not be yours, and no you would not make any money from it other then from maybe being on a talk show.
Almost no small property deeds include mineral rights. So if you found oil since you don't have the mineral rights to it the oil is not yours and an oil company would buy the rights to it from the government and make money off it. You would make no money but the value of your house would drop like a rock. So really you would lose money.
