using an X-ray microscope ( or some other microscope that shows things at the molecular and atomic level) we can see the EFFECTS of atoms.

In the same way, Brownian motion tells us that something is happening at that level.

In one way, you could say that atomics weapons are proof of the hypothesis.

If you project radiation on an particle and it makes a shadow than you know its there. Rutherford made the first experiment by making a shadow of atoms and observing the distribution he determine the shape of the atoms.
Theory developed and chemistry has shown the feasibilty of the theory.
However the composistion of matter in the components of the atoms is still not conclusively proved and explained.
Brownian motion related to the energy of particles on the surface of water. This was first observed by Brown and later formulated by Einstein which earned him his Nobel Prize.
Never the less There is very little Understood theory why atoms stay together in a particular element and dont fly off from the material into space.. The only thing that would explain that would be supergravity at micro level( a litte different than Macro level, but same phenomena).Gravity power is not weak as some believe.Gravity power =force times velocity of the moving force.
Relativity Theory called it warping of space time inside the atom but still no agreement with quantum mechanics theory.

U can obviously not see at such small scales but
the atomic model best justifies the phenomenons like

brownian motion,resistance,photoconductivity and so on.

A new theory called "STRING THEORY" is in development
if it can explain the phenomenons much better their will be no atoms!!!!!!

"Science always gets its inspiration from practical
observations. To justify anything that happens a thought as
hypothesis is proposed and accepted by others if reproducable."
