So every single Muslim has a woman slave? Do you even KNOW any Muslims?

Just because some people think that, doesn't mean the majority does. Every religion is misinterpreted, just look at how "do unto others what you would have them do unto you" was interpreted as "have 10 crusades, massacring jews, christians and muslims alike, and have an inquisition to murder innocent people for daring to question the church"

Women in Asia enjoy varying degrees of freedom. Muslim women on the whole walk a step behind the men following the path predetermined by Islam and the societies in which they live in. A Pakistani muslim woman would be 'lesser' than their counterparts in moderate muslim countries like Malaysia who have enacted laws to protect women's rights. Muslim women are not expected to be equal to men but that does not mean they are enslaved. Many women in Malaysia, Indonesia holds considerable power in politics and commerce.

They don't. No matter what religion there is always a small amount of people who will use their religion to get power, it's the same by some Christians. That doesn't mean all Muslims or Christians act the same.

Islam does not condone female infanticide or slavery! Its the way some muslim men perceive it,our teachings in-fact grant women a subtle elevated status.Thats cuz she is the one who plays a major role in raising children and goes through enough pains to keep her family intact. Its just wrenching to see that few people take this as female subjugation.
Islam opened the doors to women empowerment 1400 yrs ago!How can one say that it favours women slavery, and it certainly is NOT defined as COOL for doing it. I am sure all muslims would agree, Its just that that very few are very orthodox in their mindset. But, at the same time we do have certain .....what I call 'buffering' to adhere to and all that pays good: you retain yr modesty, chastity, decency, character...all these traits have an exalted status in Islam .
Its really, really sad to see that many, in the west especially ,see this as subjugation!

Not all Muslims do that.
To some its in the "book". Wasn't woman created for man, to serve man? That is the beginning of sexism.
Some people take things to an extreme. And it's all due to one's interpretation.

I think its very unfair to make such a broad sweeping generalisation like that. I would like to ask you what the basis of your statement is.
I have seen a lot of muslim men who don't treat other women at a level inferior to their own forget about slavery.
I think you are falling prey to the process of 'manufacturing consent' as Noam Chomsky would put it.
