I ask 'cause I couldn't reach this particularly itchy spot on my back with my toothbrush... so now my toilet brush is looking pretty appealing

Very funny, clorox is used by the American Red Cross at it's blood donor sites so it must be good,it has to sit approximately 10 minutes to be effective

Yes it does kill most bacteria but not all. If you are using the toilet brush as a back scratch er that is full of bacteria. Also when using Clorox on your skin, which I don't think is recommended, you should be sure to rinse your self.

Your toothbrush could have just has much bacteria on it as the toilet brush, try using hair brush or comb, and Clorox kills 99.9% of the germs.

Chlorine kill a great many bacteria, but there is no suchthing as being able to kill ALL bacteria. I definately would advise against using the toilet brush as a back scratcher.

Yikes! Clorox contains dioxin, a known carcenogen. It's bad enough that we are exposed to chlorine continuously in our water supply, but if you use it as a topical biocide, it can damage your tissue and be absorbed transdermally (through the skin) into your bloodstream.

By all means use the toilet brush (after sterilizing, of course)

Generic triple antibiotic oinment works just fine and won't hurt you a bit.

Bleach will kill 99% of all bacteria, but don't use it on your skin, ding-dong. Go to the Dollar store and buy yourself a back brush.

Not all bacteria, but it does a pretty good job on most of them. In extremely small quantities (we're talking just a few drops of bleach; look it up before you do it), bleach can be used to "purify" water, when you don't have access to clean tap water.

Use the handle end - it will be more sanitary - and dump the toothbrush if you used the bristle end. Do you have a ruler? They work good too.
