I've been trying to find some reference to one on line, but I can't. Anyone know what they stand for this year?

Harry Reid finally announced a Democratic platform today. You are right if you are suggesting that the Democrats' main problem has been that no one know what they stand for. We only know what they are against. Republican policies are so unpopular that it should be easy for the Democrats to take over Congress this year, but they may not be able to do it, because they have been so bad about articulating their alternative program. That plus the fact that all the Congressional districts are so hopelessly gerrymandered that it is nearly impossible to unseat the incumbent in any district.

Go to DNC.org. It is their website.

Bad news is that they have no platform. Their agenda sounds like the responses from a Miss USA pageant.." I'm for feeding the poor"..".I'm for world peace" "I'm for......" YA everyone is "for" that yet they have NO plan of action on anything. their supporting arguments are all just BUSH sucks.

Sad the door is wide open for my vote and they have not learned / done anything in eight years.

PS affordable healthcare folks is ONLY for the poor and elderly the Democrats have NO plan for the working class...also look it up.

They have the same party platform that they (and the Republicans) have for every other election:

1> higher taxes
2> more goverment intrution into our personal lives
3> more violations of the Constitution
4> more corruption
5> less freedom
6> more government
...

Funny how Brett was the only person who gave an honest answer.

Affordable healthcare is a big one. Lowering the National Debt. Trying to win back a few Allies.

To those who say the only platform Dems need is to get the Reps out of power, how do you use that platform to get out of primaries? I thought people running for office needs a platform not only for general elections, but also for primaries. :-/

Their platform is to take back the government from the Republican party and to persuade every American to hate George Bush ! It doesn't matter to lie to everyone to achieve their goal. It doesn't matter that they themselves have stood for nothing. It doesn't matter that the leader of their party is a kook. It doesn't matter that their best candidate for president has no experience and no guts. In fact maybe that is their platform, Nothing matters unless you hate George Bush!

The same as it's been for the past six and a half years, bash Bush. Have you heard them take a stand on anything else? I guess they think by attacking his record, they don't have to establish one for themselves.
