Give them your name and request an attorney. Once you have said you want an attorney present, anything you say if they continue questioning, is inadmissable in court. But remember, you still may say something that could come back to haunt you, so give them your name and absolutely nothing else until the lawyer arrives. NOTHING.That is your only protection whether you are innocent or not.

Never Never Never fall into the police trap of talking. Do Not talk or say anything until you get legal counsel. Most of us including my past experience fall for the hope that police will let us go or lessen the charges. Remember this once you are caught do not say anything or else this will be used against you in a court of law. Think about this.Continue to say I did not do this and close your trap and ask for legal counsel.

Cooperate with them. Let the book you and process you. Keep your mouth shut. Get a lawyer. Post bond. Go to trial, and make 'em look like utter idiots for arresting the wrong person.

Don't answer any question, no matter what they asked. You have the right to remain silent. And get a good lawyer.
