The reason its called the "View" in the first place is because its a show that is supposed showcase the viewpoint of Females...If they added a man it would take away from what the show was originally about...I personally think the show is stupid.

It was supposed to be a show based on women's opinions.
Barbara Walters, put the show together, her thought was to have 4 honest women, talk about their life experiences and incorporate those experiences into the topics of the day.
That's why Star Jones left the show, she wasn't honest about how she lost her weight.

Because the show is based on the woman's point of view I guess. I guess they want to market to the women more since they figure guys don't watch the show.

The point is that most talk show host are men. The show was designed with the idea that mainly women stay home during the day. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

because no straight man is stupid enough to go on a show where he is surrounded by women who discuss the most useless things. You will struggle to find one straight male who watches or even can name the people on that show. Guess you know why its not in prime time.

They sometimes have male guest hosts, but it's meant to be a forum for women. There are enough chat shows with men.

There was a show on years ago with four guys: Dick Clark, Mario Lopez, Danny Bonaduce and a guy I didn't know. It got canceled after Dick's stroke.

The name "View" is short for "The Women's Point of View" - it's not the "The View From the Terrace" - it's about women!

No man in his right mind would want to go on this show and be their fall guy. He would surely take a lot of abuse.
