I would have to say a bit older. I married someone younger than I was and that really didn't work because I was way more mature than he was. So I figure by common sense that a guy who is a bit older than you may be on the same wave length. A guy is way older may try to tie you down and make you feel as if you are older than what you are. It is about maturity.

It's better to marry a man only a bit older than you.
Women typically out live men. You'll be alone.

I think that the age should be 10 years or less. Im 20 and ive just started seeing a 27year old for about 3 months now. To begin with it felt weird i kept saying to myself "...you cant go out with him coz hes 27" but now it really doesnt bother me cause we got on so well, i feel like i dont have to be a centain way or look for him, he knows what he wants and he doesnt get scared when we talk about future and stuff.

it just depends on you. if your in it for the money and stability than go for the 10year your senior, but if its for a real commitment than go for the 2-5year senior.
My husband is 7 years older than me. I would go for someone thats about 5-7 years older just because they are more mature and dont act like kids.

i think that it depends on the guy.
i have been involved with guys that are 10 yrs my senior, and they behaved like boys as far as attitude toward commitment.
they are financially savvy, and very dependable in any other category in life but, not relationships.
now i am married and my husband is only 6mos older than me and he is the most stable person i've ever met in all levels of life.
cant really judge by age.. it's more on a case by case basis.

you know i have been in this same situation for real. i think it is better to test both sides first(like date one a bit older and one much older) and see which one acts more mature or either which one has more in common with you

Age shouldn't matter, but if a guy marries a woman older than him (like I did...stupid me!)her passion has run out.
All I hear is "We're too old for that" or "I'm too old for that". It's always the "too old" crap.
Marry a bright vibrant younger woman. Age differential is inconsequential.

there is no assurance of older man being better husband than not so old one. just look for sensible, decisive guy with good values and responsible one with a steady job.

For some women, it depends on how much money he has. Consider the case of Anna Nicole Smith, for example..
