No one is stopping kids from praying, go ahead, find a case where a child has bowed their head and quietly prayed and someone cared.
Teachers and group leaders cannot lead children in prayer because it's unfairly forcing that religion on children with other religions.
Kids can talk about god all they want, but they can't preach or try to bully other kids about it, and teachers are supose to refrain from promoting any religion to respect other religions.

The Fonz is right, prayer isn't illegal in school, forced prayer is. We have this nifty little part of our constitution called Freedom Of Speech. It means that you can say what you want (short of fire in a crowded building where there is no fire) when you want but no one can force you to say or not say something.

u can pray in school, just as long as it's not enforced. i sometimes pray to give thanks. also, my teacher would have discussions on god all of the time, and nobody ever thought anything of it.
