When a male touches another male's bicep is it appropriate. I used to havea guy come by my desk almost on a daily basis , and somehow someway, he always managed to put his hands on me, especially on my bare bicep if I had a muscle shirt on. I asked him not to do it. It took me asking him on 4 different occassions to finally make him stop. Was his touching appropriate? Is he gay? dumb? crazy?

Some folks just grow up in a touchy feely family and touch as part of their conversation. I'm like that and am not gay... so unless he makes a pass at ya, no worries!

If you asked him not to do it and he still did it was not appropriate. Since you made it clear you disliked it. It is never appropriate to touch someone in a way that makes them feel uncomfortable.

Some people grow up different ways. He may not have been gay it may just be one of those habits you learn when you are young. I used to have a chief in the navy who was a big old country boy. He would always put a hand firmly on your shoulder and say what’s up then whatever nick name he thought fit you. Almost everyone was nitro, turbo, or Hollywood. He was in no way gay that is just how he was raised to greet people.

I don't think he is necessarily gay. But he was overstepping his boundries and its good you stuck to making it clear where your boundries are. Some people use this as a technique to dominate others or intimidate them. Or some to establish intimacy that doesn't exist. He may have been gay, but I wouldn't immediately jump to that conclusion. It was inappropiate. Good for you that you asserted your boundries.Good Luck!

He might be non of them or all. But some people seem not to care what other people feel/belive... They are just mechanical. They do not analyze.

Is it appropriate? It depends on the culture, on how people take it,..

Since it was repeated after you asked him to stop, my guess he's either gay or messin' with your head. trying to get a rise out of you.
