(Silly I'm sure)however when it arrived, to our shock & disappoitment, we opened up 6 blocks of wood. Now, being the trusting&down right stupid people we are(actually that would be my partner not me!) we didn't report this right away, we contacted the guy we bought it from.Anyway, he claims the package was insured so we would get all our money back & he was processing the forms for us (he is in the UK, we are in the netherlands). Needless to say 4mths later we still haven't got our money & he hasn't answered our recent emails.
Does anyone have any advise as to where to go next?

Please report this to the Fraud Department in eBay website.

Login to eBay.
Click "My eBay" beside the word "Sell"
On the left panel, click " Dispute Console"
At the top, it should appear this:
"Have a problem? We can help.
Report an Unpaid Item | Report an Item Not Received or Not as Described "

Click on the link :Report an Item Not Received or Not as Described

Follow the process as described on your screen.

Please do this soonest possible. You have delayed more than 90 days!! :(

Hope this helps - chip

If you were expecting a camera but he sent blocks of woods, then that right away would tell me hes a con-artist. You were supposed to call your credit card company or contact ebay and fill in a form. The form would state that the item you received was not as described and they would refund you until they investigate further. You were supposed to send the blocks back to the sender so that you can get a tracking number.

What form of payment did you use to purchase the item? If you used credit card or paypal, it is not too late to get your refund if you explain it to them in detail what happened. If you used a check or money order, then you might have more trouble getting your refund.

If you paid through Pay Pal you may have some chance, but not much, and mostly due to the length of time that has elapsed since the purchase. You can of course report the incident on EBay giving this seller negative feedback, doesn't get your money back but may help someone else not fall victim to this person's unethical business practices.

The following are matters to take into account: Brand: I have had first-class stories with Sony and Canon, anything it's ensure its a manufacturer you have got heard of. Media: MiniDV is the enterprise normal for first-class, greater than DVD. The tapes are very small so dimension is not a predicament. Also, MiniDV tapes do not holiday down as rapid as DVDs, and in contrast to DVDs, there isn't any alternative in the marketplace, so they are going to be round for a even as. Other points: Look for a 3CCD digicam. This is one who has a seperate sensor for each and every colour so the first-class is way greater. Look for one who has top optical zoom. Manufacturers will supply relatively top zoom numbers for virtual zoom, however virtual zoom hurts the first-class. Optical zoom is what you wish. As a ways as connecting to laptop or TV, any of the brand new camcorders have USB, firewire, and composite video connections so transfering must be a breeze.

go back to how you paid and hold payment or get the payment retracted - especially if you paid via credit card - you can contest the payment. they take it back form his account

EBAY has a fraud section - so does paypal.

silly to wait 4 months when it was a duh - he shipped you wood!
