Yes it is normal for some people myself included. However, I have been sleeping with 'white noise' for as long as I can remember and for me it drowns out a lot of noises that would otherwise keep me up. You can generate white noise with a fan, a humidifier, an air purifier or there are actually sound machines you can buy. I have a Conair sound therapy machine that has white noise as well as several others like waves, rainfall, rivers etc. Try it...it will likely do the trick for you. Good luck.

Sure it's normal. I deal with this by always having a fan on when I'm sleeping. The fan provides "white noise" that your mind concentrates on even if you're sleeping. "White noise" is simply a continuous, benign noise that your mind has already identified and determined harmless.

I wouldn't be able to sleep in your sisters house either. Try using a fan to block everything out.
It is quite normal "not to be able to handle the noise," especially if you are not use to it.

it depends.... i sleep with the radio on sometimes and if i am really tired i can fall asleep through anything. but if i am wide awake it would take me awhile to fall asleep with sound. one time i had to go to this 9 hr concert (rock concert yukka) and i feel asleep through it because i was so tired

nope... I have to have some ambient noise... A silent house would be ODD... and I sleep worse in ODD situations.

I will pray for you!
Any kind of light bothers me when I am trying to sleep.
God bless you.
Do you like older women? I could make you feel good all over your body!

Either you get used to it or you move out on your own in a quiet little home.
