I think you and your special person, should drive down to Seagrove Beach Florida, rent a bugalow on the beach, put on as few clothes as you can get away with, and stroll the beach. When you get to that ol' comfortable beach bar where all the locals hang out, you should order a couple of Guiness and some chicken tenders, and watch the silly people do Karaoke. Then, you get on stage and show them how it's done. You tell the crowd that this was your last day at a job you didn't like, then you belt out "Johnny B Good" and "Born Free" and "Take This Job And Shove It", much to the delight of your audience, who gives you a standing ovation. Then you, and yours, stroll back down the beach to your bungalow, where you lay under the stars, and receive the best massage you ever had, from hands that seem to know exactly what you need.

Yeah? Good for you...try working for a company for 13 years, loyalty rewarded with cuts in pay, cuts in staff, longer work days, heavier work loads, and then being blamed by the public for "not caring" enough for your clients. Yet, why am I there? Why do I even go back...It's not the management I bust my butt over. This is my last summer there. I'm moving on to a different career. So I'll celebrate with you!!!! Congratulations!!!!

Take tonight, go to a karaoke bar, have a few drinks, sing to your wittle heart's content, stay up late, think about how nice life will be once you are in a job that you look forward to going to every morning. Have a wonderful, stress-free weekend, and then on Monday, do something that you find spontaneous and wonderful!
Congratulations!

Short term solution: Go out and party!!! Get drunk, have a dance, sing karaoke, have FUUUN!!!
Long term solution: This is a life changing time, where you have finally let go of something you felt tied to, so celebrate by doing something you've always wanted to do, something radical, like parachuting, hang-gliding or bungee jumping.
Let it all out, release those years of frustration!!!!
Enjoy - hope I helped!
