I live in NJ, and everything is so expensive. Where should I move to?

You can check the website of the Nat'l Association of Realtors to find out which metro areas have the "most affordable" housing in relation to average income in those areas. Typically, small cities in Texas, Ohio, and upstate NY tend to place high in those surveys. But would you want to live in any of those places? In Florida, where I live, the Panhandle area (N. Florida) still has moderate real estate prices, but everything is rising quickly as Boomers invade the state.

it's relative to what you earn. sure places are cheaper but the jobs (if any) sometimes pay less. so it's cost of living vs. earning potential. you know the mortgage is only $1300per month unfortunately for you you make $1050. know what I mean . Check the employment picture very thoroughly.there are a lot of people getting put out of $300 a month apartments in USA.
