Oh, Martinb, that was a good chuckle!!! However, as you know, bears love fish. Here's some real advice: Never go in to the woods alone - and wear good running shoes. That way, if a bear comes after you, you can make sure to run faster than your companion. If ya know what I mean... :)
Pepper spray can be a bear deterrent, but there really isn't anything that guarantees you won't become bear breakfast.

Make noise if you are wandering in bear country. Sing songs out loud or chant. They don't really want to meet us.

No sweetie, just don't let them smell your food, other than that, leave them alone and for the most part they will leave you alone. They don't care much for humans. Take protection. They don't care much for humans... get my drift?
