Why go alone and not with a few friends?
Though I have to say if you want to travel abroad alone for a relaxing self indulgent holiday for your mind and body got to The Maldives, islands of beauty, water like clear crystal and beaches as white as snow, beautiful people, there range of resorts are amazing ranging from Hotels to lines of Beach Huts and views to die for....never a dull moment!
I did it alone and loved it, best 10 days of my life...

Nowhere is safe and everywhere is safe, but, whatever you do, DO NOT TRAVEL ALONE. Can't stress that enough.
Better yet, visit the Grand Canyon, or the wine country in northern California.
How about use your vacation money and invest in one of those new over sized fancy smanchy new hot tub spas with mega jets and built in speaker system. Saw it on display at the Phoenix home show.
I want one.

definately not Turkey.Don't think anywhere safe for single lone female,abroad or home

Safe from what may I ask?
if you want to be safe from the war, stay away from the middle east, if you want to be safe from americans stay in europe.
