Whenever i apply my fake tan i always end up with orange elbows whatever i do. The rest looks fine, I exfoliate, moisturise before. Anyone know what i can do and what takes it off if it does happen?

OK, first of all do you always use the same brand of tan? It might be worth switching. Quite simply, some brands of tan streak more than others and some suit different skin types so try switching brands and see if that helps.
Secondly, do not use moisturise before you tan. The moisturiser will lay on your skin thicker in some parts than others and this will cause the tan to streak. It is probably clogging in your elbows. There is no need to use it anyway as most good fake tans should have moisturiser in them already. If you want to use extra moisturiser, use it the next day, when the tan is totally dry.
Thirdly, try applying your tan whilst wearing rubber gloves. You get a much more even application and the tan seems to rub in more easily.

Morning, St Tropez do a fake tan removal cream. I believe the key is to exfoliate and moisturise like a bastard beforehand.

I personally dont do fake tan, but my daughter uses it occasionally jsut so she doesn't look like a milk bottle when going out and she uses ROC brand, it is fabulous and no orangeness or streaks..it's the spray on one. It is a little more expensive but it is worth it inthis case.

put extra moisturiser to the dry areas before putting fake tan on. Otherwise don't use it.

you're not supposed to put it on elbows, the rough skin absorbs it more because its dry skin, dilute it down to just a smidge with baby lotion and then only use a small amount, they really dont need it, knees and elbows are naturally darker than any other skin area

well, i would'nt advice u on tanning why not be what u are... because tanning unnaturally looks ugly ...it does'nt look good at all...if u r fair skinned then make it look beautiful rather then apply something to fake ur skin colour...it looks like painting urself.
