I'm going for the 360, I'm used to playing on my PC so the xbox controls make more sense to me.

The only problem with your question is that the only system open for comparison is the Xbox 360. I owned a gamecube, and liked it a lot, but eventually became frustrated with the limited game catalog. That doesn't seem like it would be a problem with the Wii since you'll be able to download and play ALL of the games released to their systems going back to the original NES. However, Nintendo is focusing on the innovation of creating a system that is fully interactive. Based on a survey I saw after the E3 show, developers are a bit cool on the idea. Given the lack of progress or utilization of the touch screen for the DS, I am highly skeptical of the ability and willingness for developers to "port" a game to the Wii using these innovations. It's one thing to come up with the "next mouse trap" it's something entirely different to make someone use it. . . The same applies with Sony and their Blu-Ray gamble.

Ps3 is prohibitively priced, and Microsoft is already rumored to be waiting to drop the price of their premium bundle between 50 and 100 dollars at PS3 launch, creating as much as a 200.00 difference between the two systems.

Basically, there's no way to tell. So far the PS3 looks like a disaster. Mired in technology issues, lawsuits, and already one major redesign, there are already fresh rumors of a delay beyond the November 2006 release date.

The Xbox 360 is doing very well, and the game titles are beginning to come more quickly too. The Xbox marketplace has been wildly successful, and they're expecting to have sold something like 20 million 360's by June of next year.

The Wii looks innovative and has some neat upside in it's old-school library, but that innovation might be non-functional or distracting for many. And, the willingness of the game developers to work on it as a usable function is seriously debatable. . .

I already own the 360 so it would have to be the PS3 because although i like the idea of Wii's controller system, the games from nintendo are generally aimed at children and they have never seemed to have really strong games to pull me away, I was interested in resident evil 4 then found out it was going to be released on PS2, so again, there was little reason to buy the console, i feel it will be the same with Wii.

I would have to say that Nintendo is looking like a good cheap little game syatem with alot of games which are intresting but the appeal of having to keep active and move around to play the games will become dull.

PS3, whilse the PS2 had LOADS of games, how many of them were actually any good? I love GTA, Tekken is fantastic, GT is excellent, Metal Gear Solid is simply WOW but after you take away the franchise games the ps2 really has not done anthing diffrent, I have yet to see any "new" games for the PS3, We will be playing updates of games which were on the PS2.
The Blueray DVD on the PS3 looks intresting but only if there is a major push to release DVDs straight away.
Has anyone actually noticed that there is a £10 price diffrence between PS3 and XBOX360 games! I know games will drop in price but I think sony are only going to hurt there fan base by selling over priced games which you can get for £10 cheaper on the XBOX360.
I have to admit that I have preordered a ps3 (play.com are taking pre orders for the 60gb version with 3 games, not cheap but at least I have a shot at getting one for xmas)

XBOX360 is a great system, the games are finally starting to come out at a half decent rate and the XBOX360 has some really good games (oblivion, call of duty 2,Quake, ect)
I only hope that microsoft does not fall screw up halo 3.
XBOX live is excellent and great fun.

So I would have to say XBOX360 is right now the best bet.

If it was free, PS3.

If I had to pay, Xbox 360.

Both look really good and have really good games coming out. It's just a matter of $300 for Xbox or $600 for PS3.

I would get the Wii first, then the xbox 360. The PlayStation3 isn't much better than the xbox 360 and it's definitely not worth the 500+ dollars

I would have to get a Wii. I have always owned at least one Nintendo machine. I currently have a Gamecube, a gameboy advanced and a DS. I know that Nintendo are far behind all the other manufacturers when it comes to "adult" games, but my belief is that you don't need to have a game for adults to enjoy it. I love all the Mario games, the Zelda games, I could go on. You make what you want from the games, they are escapism. Why have a game that is based on reality when you're looking for escapism?

I'd get a Nintendo based purely on the games already announced.

I love my PS2, but I think the PS3 may struggle to get people to buy it as a games system, considering the price, and it'll already be behind the times as a general entertainment system upon its release.

I would get PS3 but its price is a bit too high. I would get it when it goes cheaper or possibly 2nd hand or just get the Nintendo Wii.
